In focusing on its corporate social responsibility, Public Systems Associates, Inc. is now signing up for the United Nations (UN) Global Compact initiative. The UN wishes to work with the corporate sector to address a range of the challenges raised by globalization and to create a more sustainable, inclusive global economy.
In January 1999, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan invited leaders of the business community word-wide to join a new global initiative - The Global Compact. The objective of the initiative is to promote corporate social responsibility in a global perspective.
Global Compact contains nine policies based on concerns in the field of human and employee rights and environmental protection.
